The concealed AOS feature, also called Atmosphere of Secrecy (AOS) is a new and innovative way to redefine people’s path to privacy on social media. One beautiful thing about it is that it integrates perfectly well with all the other privacy controls available in concealed, and also creates a greater level of flexibility for users to build the perfect environment to share highly secretive information safely.
Whether you are trying to share a piece of secretive information with friends, family and everyone, or you want to share open information but want everyone to be secretive in their responses, the concealed AOS is a good way to go, and there are yet lots of other things that make it stand out.
How this works
The AOS feature mainly focuses on giving the user absolute control in 2 major aspects that matter a lot in any post anyone can share on social media.
1) Post creator identity protection
The AOS feature provides a user with the ability to toggle their identity (name, username, and profile) on a shared post, such that they can specify who can see their identity on a post. The content of this post would be visible to everyone, but the identity would be strategically hidden.
For example, Alice shared a touching story about herself using the AOS feature, she specified that only 5 of her friends can see her identity on the post, but the rest of the world cannot see her identity. However, the content of the post is visible to everyone.
2) Reply creator identity Protection
While the post creator’s identity might be exposed or protected, in the reply section, the identity of the person replying can also be exposed or protected, based on the AOS preference at work. This gives the user a way to assure their audience that their identity is protected.
For example, After Alice shared her AOS post, Jane replied the post. Jane’s identity can be protected in 2 ways:
such that nobody can see her identity at all.
such that her identity would be exposed to some people but would be protected from the rest of the world.
Use Cases
Here are some use cases of the Concealed’s AOS:
Imagine you are in a situation where you have to share some deeply delicate information so you can save yourself or someone else from a trouble
Imagine you just want to anonymously pour out your mind about something disturbing you, and also get people to respond and be real with you.
Imagine you need a help, but you fear to ask because a lot of people who know you don’t expect you to have such a serious problem.
Imagine you have to help someone but you don’t want to take the glory.
Imagine you want your friends to tell you some blunt truth about something but you want to leave them with the choice to either protect their identity or not.
There’s a thousand more use case for the concealed AOS, we encourage you to try it out.
Using the AOS feature
The process of using the AOS feature in a post is very easy and straightforward. To create a post with an AOS, you can either choose from a list of 8 ready-made AOS, or you can create your own specialized AOS for the information you want to share. Your choice of option is up to you, and each AOS design has its own uniqueness.
For example, the AOS-3 (on mask) will protect your identity both on the bubble, and in the reply, no one can see it at all. But when anyone replies, all their identities would be exposed, only your identity is protected.
