Concealed: Your Gateway to Privacy

Concealed: Your Gateway to Privacy

Alice just got a job and wants to post it on her social media platform. She would like to share the full details about how she got the job, but there are some parts of the story she considers private and she only wants a specific group of people to see them, but no social media platform offers her this much flexibility.

Concealed is a social networking site that provides users with lots of controls over their data, users can control the flow of their data, the presentation of their content (to the audience), the privacy of their data, the engagement of their audience, and lots more.

In the case of Alice, Concealed lets users create a single post with multiple contents, for multiple audiences (unlike any other social media). In addition, concealed enables users to hide sections (words, sentences, or paragraphs) of a post, only for some selected people to see. With Concealed, Alice can concisely share her story, and ensure to hide the private sections only for her selected few to see.

Features

  • Multiple audiences

  • Tweak

  • AOS

  • Bots

  • Engagement analytics

Multiple audiences

With Concealed, a user can target multiple audiences with a single post and communicate different or similar information with each audience simultaneously, just with one post.

Each person can only see the information that the creator wants him/her to see. The advantage of this feature is that it allows users to specifically define who can or cannot access a piece of information on a post at a given time.

This feature is demonstrated in the video below.

Tweak

Tweak is a feature provided by Concealed to help users richly modify the contents of their posts. With Tweak, a user can;

  • Hide parts of an information only for a selected few to see (its called steganography)

  • Make words secret (and keep audience curious)

  • Add description to word(s)

  • Encrypt word(s) (and alter the content’s interpretation for some selected people)

  • Create a carousel for specific words

Highlighting the carousel feature, a user can use multiple adjectives to qualify a specific word, and further improve the understanding of the context of a post.

A section of the Tweak feature is highlighted in the video below

AOS (Atmosphere of Secrecy)

The AOS feature is an advanced privacy control to help introduce a layer of secrecy to your post, which enables you to share highly secretive information with the people you want. It focuses on protecting or exposing the identity of the responding audience and the post creator, which in turn creates an atmosphere where people are free to reveal any secret because their identity is protected (or exposed).

An interesting part of this feature is that a user can choose to create his or her own custom AOS that is perfect for the information they want to share or choose from a list of ready-made AOS that suits their purpose.

The list below highlights some of its usages;

  1. The “Night” AOS will protect all identity, and keep everyone (both the post creator and audience) anonymous. For instance, in the reply section, you can only see each reply, but the name of the person replying cannot be seen.

  2. The “Mask” AOS will only protect the identity of the bubble creator. For instance, in the reply section, when other people reply, you can see their reply and also their identity, but when the post creator replies, his/her identity is automatically protected, but you can read his/her reply.

  3. The “I see you all” AOS will expose the identity of every audience to the post creator, and simultaneously protect the same identity from others. For instance, if users A and B reply, user A cannot see the identity of user B, and user B cannot see the identity of user A, but the post creator can see all their identities on his/her side.

There’s a lot more AOS, you can try them out too.

The video below illustrates how it works.

Bots

Bots are basically helpers that run simple and more complex tasks. They open ways for a user to enforce control over the activities of a given audience within a bubble.

With bots, a user can control the words that can be used in the reply section, show each audience a message when they fulfil certain conditions, and lots more.

A video highlighting basic usage is shown below.

Engagement Analytics

With engagement analytics, a user can gain valuable insights into how other people interact with a bubble.

It gives a breakdown of the number of people who viewed a bubble, replied a bubble, shared a bubble and lots more.

Conclusion

Concealed is focused on shaping a new paradigm in the vast world of social networking solutions. With Concealed, the user has total control over how his/her data flows, and can, with unrestricted flexibility, determine what part of his/her data is presented to the general public.
